Inspiriert durch Songwriter wie Nick Drake oder Elliot Smith sowie Akustik-Rock der 60er & 70er, behandeln Ryan Lewy’s Texte die kleinen und großen Dinge im Leben und das Leben selbst. Seine Zuhause aufgenommene Debüt-EP „Moonrise Kingdom“ zieht den Hörer durch ihre atmosphärische Dichte und die unverarbeitete Akustikgitarre direkt in den Bann.
